Since living in Switzerland I was fallen back in love with skiing, especially ski touring. However, due to limited snow and mountains on the British island, it has become an expensive and complicated hobby. So I was more than happy when my good friend Krzysztof gave me a call and suggested a short skiing trip in Livigno with some friends. Even my dad and brother popped down from Berlin and we had a great week in the sunny Alps. For anyone looking for an affordable skiing holiday, check out the first and last week of season, often you can get a great deal and most ski resorts offer a free ski pass for the period. It is also advisable to rent an apartment with a few friends, sleeping costs can be reduced to a few pound and cooking facilities ensure cheap and fun evenings. For anyone who enjoys his/her beverage, Livigno is a tax free island in the Italien Alps (also good for petrol). Enjoy your winter!
