Tour-de-world

The site is meant for anyone who has not given up dreaming and will help me to tell about the journeys of an ordinary boy following his aspirations. I dream of cycling the world, sailing across the pacific, climbing some of the great mountains but also living a simple life and giving others the opportunity to fulfill their dreams. Mallory once said, the greatest danger in life is not to undertake the adventure. Life itself is an adventure and the next time it flashes before your eyes, make sure you have something worth watching.

About me

My name is David. I enjoyed a very happy childhood in Berlin, a city full of adventure and opportunities. With sixteen I got the chance to move to a buzzing boarding school in the sleepy town of Shaftesbury, UK. I was honored to make some lifelong friends and got a first glimpse of the epic world out there waiting to be discovered. After a placement year at GSBZ in Zürich, Switzerland, a few more exams and some of the best time of my life so far, I graduated from Loughborough University in 2009. Since then I have started a PhD in entrepreneurship, studying the start-up process of young, innovative and growth orientated firms in England and Germany.

The unbelievable beauty of nature and the breathtaking majesty of the Alps, as well as the great and enthusiastic characters I have meet over the last few years have given me the last bit of inspiration I needed to fall in love with outdoor adventure. My dreams and challenges mark no world records or ‘firsts’, but they are about breaking barriers within myself.
